Our History
September 2022
Plata was founded in September of 2022 in Mexico City by four multinational executives with extensive experience in digital banking.
Plata Project
April 2023
We launched our first product called Plata Card, that is a credit card designed to be beneficial for all of our clients, and that also offers rewards.
Start Operations
September 2023
We launched our second product on the market: Plata Difiere.
With this new product you can make purchases without the use of a credit card.
BNPL Product
March 2024
Plata expands its coverage to over 118 cities in Mexico, where Plata ambassadors personally deliver the card to the customers doorstep.
